Josh Smith Octorara vs Caleb Kolb Grove City

Kolb throws Smith to the mat for the first points of the match with a takedown. Kolb leads 2-0. Smith escapes to close the gap to 1, Kolb leading 2-1. Both wrestlers go out of bounds as the crowd boos. Some would think Kolb could have been awarded but the official said no, out of bounds. Both wrestlers to the middle for a restart. Both wrestlers are getting very physical. Locked up fighting for hand control, very little action as the first period comes to an end with Kolb leading 2-1. Kolb chooses Neutral to start the second period. Kolb in quickly on a single leg with Smith defending with a wizzard. Kolb still fighting to keep control of Smith's ankle, the official calls stalemate. Back to the middle for a fresh start. Kolb again in deep on a single leg but again nothing as the offical calls stalemate. Both these wrestlers are pretty evenly matched. The second period ends with Kolb still holding a one-point lead, 2-1. Smith chooses to start the third period on the top. Kolb seems to be doing very little on the bottom as Smith is warned for stalling. The crowd feels the stalling was from Kolb but the official had a different opinion. Boos from the crowd big-time. Smith continues to ride on top with again very little action on the bottom. The crowd is really getting into this match. Boos swarm the crowd as the third period comes to an end with Kolb coming out with the win. 2-1.
